Animated films are the latest craze in Bollywood. And, many major stars are joining the bandwagon of this new platform of entertainment.

Check this out: Sajid Nadiadwala is making an animated version of the 1997 film Judwaa. Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif are starring in a composite animated feature titled Main Krishna Hoon. Amitabh Bachchan is lending his voice to two characters in an animated film called Twinergy. Priyanka Chopra and John Abraham, who were approached by filmmaker Soumitra Ranade, are lending their voices for his animated production Ali Baba and the 41 Thieves. Dharma Productions is planning to release an animated film, Koochie Koochie Hota Hai, based on the hit film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. And Ajay Devgn and Kajol are starring in a upcoming film Toonpur ka Superhero.

With so many upcoming films, one cannot deny the power of animation. Shambhu Phalke, Vice President, BIG Animation, says, "Earlier, one would see one animated film a year. Today, you will find at least three films releasing in a year. The growth is also thanks many investors coming in to produce such films, investing between ` 10 to 25,000 crores on a film." The company has completed a 3D film titled He Krishna with actors like Juhi Chawla, Manoj Bajpayee and Om Puri.
