GameMaki’s web application released in BETA, with a mobile application soon to follow

GamemakiSocialico launches GameMaki, an application for users to "Suggest and claim challenges with their friends to explore cool stuff." In GameMaki, users recommend things to do and turn them into fun challenges for their friends to claim. In turn, users claim other challenges to earn points and compete with one another. Challenges can also be grouped into a single game, or "maki", such as a wine game comprising just wine suggestions.

Moving Pictures Media GroupThe "zombie genre" has long captivated movie-going audiences, so when Hollywood development house Moving Pictures Media Group signed a six-film distribution deal, the first project greenlighted for production was the adaptation of Ray Ellingsen's zombie novel, 100 Days of Death. Capitalizing on its expanding assets, MPMG also announced the launch of its Multimedia Rights division, headed by MPMG Producer Ed Kramer, to develop and license literary and graphic novel, interactive media, and computer game rights for each project.

Who's that chickCreative concept studio Solid recently completed a new music video for “Who’s That Chick?”, an electro-dance track produced by David Guetta and featuring Rihanna. The song originally made its debut last fall as part of the much-buzzed-about Doritos “Late Night” online global music event. Two videos provided contrasting views of Rihanna’s persona: a vibrant, playful one for day and a darker, grittier version for night.

Brickyard

Bi-coastal effects boutique Brickyard VFX recently completed visual effects work on Toyota Racing's NASCAR Sponsafier campaign via Saatchi & Saatchi LA. This was Brickyard's second year working on the Sponsafier campaign, which features :60 spots "Bromance," "Schoolyard," and "Housewife." The spots began airing throughout the U.S. on February 20.

The Sponsafier campaign urges NASCAR fans to design their own racecars online for the chance to meet their favorite Toyota driver and have their design showcased at the NASCAR Sprint Cup All-Star race in May. The three spots bring this idea to life, visualizing what would happen to three different fans if they won the contest. "Bromance" features a straight-laced office worker living out a bad-boy rock star fantasy with Kyle Busch. In "Housewife," a stay-at-home mom takes advantage of her win by kicking back and having Denny Hamlin watch the kids and do all the chores. And in "Schoolyard," a geeky boy becomes the coolest kid in school with the help of Joey Logano.
