Mr. Chandrasekaran has been Head of Operations at Sanraa Media since July 2009. He has been a Senior Faculty Member at Whistling Woods International Educational Institute, and Executive Producer at Sanraa Software. His profile includes positions as Technical Director at Anirights Infomedia, 3-D Technical Head at India Heritage Foundation, Senior Modeling and Animation In charge at JadooWorks, Manager of Visual Effects Ceeyes Hyderabad, and Animator at Pentafour Software.


CG Today : Mr. Chandrasekaran, welcome to CG Today. It is indeed our pleasure to speak with you.

Kumar Chandrasekaran, Head of Operations at Sanraa Media

CG Today : Sanraa Media, at which you are Head of Operations, opened a new state-of-the-art facility which is unique, in that it is said to be the only studio offering the services of a production house, visual effects studio and design firm all rolled in one. Tell us about this new building.

Kumar : I wouldn’t say that we are the only studio offering such diverse services, today the Indian animation industry has grown and there are more than a few capable studios around.

Here in Sanraa our main focus is to ensure that we contribute effectively on all content that we create in house. Be it IPs or out sourced content, we ensure that we creatively and technically contribute to all stages of the production cycle with a core focus on adding value to the storytelling. We have also developed a very efficient and successful pipeline along with building an extremely competent team which prides itself in delivering world class content on time.


Mr. Yash Chavan is Co - Founder/ Marketing Consultant at Flying Flicks Media Private Limited. He has also worked as Chief Operating Officer at Maverick Productions, India President - I-Media , Executive Producer at Indiainfobridge, Proprietor /Production Manager at Cyber Zone, AV Division Manager at Omnix International , A Salam Studio company, Marketing Specialist at PACC Dubai, Marketing and Purchase Manager at National Trading Centre Dubai, and Commercial Manager at Chowgule Industries Ltd. He was educated at Elphinstone College Mumbai University and Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communications, Pune. Mr. Chavan comes from a distinguished career spanning over twenty-two years in entertainment, communication, and content development industries. His experience spans all areas of digital production management. Yash holds post graduate qualification in broadcast journalism with a specialization in digital media acquisition. He has managed setting up turnkey broadcasting projects in India and the Middle East for multinationals such as Canon, Apple, Avid and Tech Electronics. His use of reorganization and information technology strategies has created organizational success in a variety of business environments.

Sabeer Ahluwalia is co-owner of Quantum Gabriel (QG) in Kolkata Area, India. He has been the Creative Head at SR Media & Communications, and Ad film & Documentary film maker at Trap 20 Multimedia. Mr.Sabeer was educated at the University of Calcutta, and is an entrepreneur director, salesman, marketer, and producer among many other titles and a bong by heart. His creative spirit and motivation have made Sabeer a well-respected creative entrepreneur and movie maker.

CG Today : QG Media & Communication is five years old. Can you tell us about the growth you have experienced in the past five years?

Sabeer : Well as far as the development and growth is concerned it’s not an Individual who climbs the Everest alone but it’s a team, associates and all the people attached to the Organization who jointly reaches the peak along with him/ her.

Though it’s a five years old but the foundation stone have been kept for no less than a decade ago. It’s a result of the day and night labour of our core team.

Quantum Gabriel Network is like a giant structure supported by its pillar named Adil - Asif - Aly and the fourth one is the trust, faith & love which we share amongst each other and our Almighty.

As far as the growth of QG is concerned till date we have diversified into Media, Publishing, IT, Real Estate & International trade and with projects like Biotech, Green Energy and Agro food on the pipeline.


Sumi Anup is currently the Production Controller at Crazygum, Chennai, India. She had worked earlier at DQ Entertainment as a team lead in the lighting department. At Crazygum Sumi and her team make films, they say "We make effective communication pieces through entertaining cinema. It can be branded content, social messages, self expression, or a genre-bending feature. It’s just that we should be kicked by the idea, so we have fun doing it and the audience is touched as well”. Her company’s specialties are commercials, shorts, features, music videos, and video art."

Kurian is Technical Director at Dr. D Studios, Sydney, Australia, he was formerly the Technical Director at Animation Lab in Jerusalem, Israel, and Los Angeles, USA; IT Manager of Process Development at DQ Entertainment; and Mel Programmer at Toonz Animation India. He received his education at St. Stephens and Aptech Computer Education. His specialties are: pipeline designs, scripts, making of application for supporting production pipeline, C++, Mel, Perl, Python, PyQt, Wx, Java Script, Shake Script, .Net and knowledge in Maya and other 3D packages and editing packages...
