Cars 2 Generates Approximately $3 Million from 153 IMAX Screens

IMAX Corporation and Disney Pixar announced today that Cars 2, from director John Lasseter, posted opening weekend results on IMAX® theatres globally, generating approximately $3 million from 153 IMAX screens. Domestically in USA, IMAX screens generated approximately $2 million of the film's total gross box office of $66.1 million.

In addition, the company is ramping up with a significant investment in technology, including several new CG workstations and software licenses.

Stardust Delivers Campaign For Nemours

Bi-coastal production company Stardust recently collaborated with ad agency Fry Hammond Barr on a multi-spot campaign for Nemours, a network of children’s hospitals in Florida and the mid-Atlantic. Directed by Stardust’s Brad Tucker, the campaign combines hand-drawn cel animation with dream-like live-action, capturing a sense of childlike imagination and endless possibility.
